Music

From calypso to reggae to jazz to classical, Bermuda enjoys a rich musical heritage and has produced a number of singers and instrumentalists in the genres of calypso, jazz, reggae, classical, rock, soca, R&B, and contemporary music.  Historically, music has been an integral part of our hospitality offering. Live bands can be found at restaurants and bars across the island for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors alike.

Additionally, several Bermudians have made waves in the international music scene, including folk-rock singer Heather Nova, calypso group The Talbot Brothers, calypsonian Stan “Lord Necktie” Seymour, opera singers Marcelle Clamens and Dr. Gary Burgess, legendary jazz pianist Lance Hayward and jazz trumpeter Ghandi Burgess, reggae artist Collie Buddz, and R&B singers Twanee and Canjelae to name a few.
